Responsibilities:

• Identifies payment discrepancies and initiates disputes resolution process to facilitate rapid turnaround in collection efforts; performs follow-up procedures as required

• Performs in-depth customer payment analysis to accurately record purchases related to deposit accounts

• Maintains frequent contact with internal and external customers to address all payment issues

• Assists other corporate associates and the Account Managers in their collection and/or reconciliation efforts for specific accounts.

• Ensures proper and consistent adherence with company approved credit policies, A/R and cash application procedures

• Performs additional related duties as assigned

Work Experience:

2+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger support, reconciliations, close support, or a related field required.
Certification in bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or accounting support preferred.

  

Skills and Knowledge:

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

• Familiarity with credit and collection operations procedures, including reconciliation of A/R activity

• Good reconciliation skills

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Creative problem-solving and negotiation abilities

• Strong mathematical and analytical skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Attention to detail

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
