Description
Voyagu is a San Francisco-based travel management company that connects premium U.S. travelers with travel experts for better and easier planning, booking, and managing of their trips.
Being part of a growing billion-dollar travel industry, we already have millions in revenue and a team of a hundred people with offices in San Francisco, Amsterdam, Warsaw, and Mexico City — and now we're expanding into the Philippines. This is a founding leadership role: you will build and lead one of our first Philippine sales teams, shape how the site operates from day one, and grow with it.
This role is for experienced sales leaders from the travel industry. If you currently lead a sales team on an airline ticketing account, in a travel BPO, an OTA, or a travel agency — and you're ready to start building your own team on a premium product — this is built for you.
Your team will sell international business and first class airline tickets to highly educated, well-paid U.S. professionals, working warm inbound leads only. Your job is to make that team excellent.
What we offer
- Competitive compensation: fixed base + performance bonus tied to your team's results — no capped incentive schemes; strong leaders earn far above typical BPO team-lead packages;
- A true founding role — you build your team from its first hires, work directly with company leadership, and have a clear path to running the site as it scales.
- Warm inbound leads for your team — premium U.S. travelers who have already submitted a request for business or first class flights. No cold calling, no mixed queues;
- Real ownership — your input shapes hiring, training, and the local sales playbook, not just the compliance of an existing one;
- Structured onboarding on our product and sales method.
- Other benefits provided by the company depending on location;
Your responsibilities
- Build your team: participate in recruitment end-to-end to acquire high-potential salespeople, and help shape the local hiring bar;
- Lead the sales operation and client-centric culture of your team of 6-10 agents to deliver business results;
- Own your team's numbers: pipeline health, conversion, average ticket, and customer satisfaction — diagnose gaps through data;
- Run weekly 1-on-1s to provide support, guidance, and direct feedback to every member of your team;
- Coach on live deals: call reviews, deal strategy, objection handling — you stay close to the sales floor, not above it;
- Identify gaps in individual performance, drive development plans, and steer high-potentials toward their next career move — building a healthy succession pipeline is how you unlock your own advancement;
- Fuel the high spirits and engagement of your team through the night-shift reality — a positive, ambitious environment is a hard requirement of this role;
- Work hours synced with U.S. time zones: night shift, 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM local time.
What we're looking for
- 2+ years leading a sales team (team leader, supervisor, or sales manager) — travel industry strongly preferred: airline ticketing account, travel BPO, OTA, or travel agency;
- A personal track record in sales before leadership — you have carried and hit your own targets, and can still demonstrate a sale yourself;
- Experience running teams that sell to U.S. or international customers;
- Excellent, confident English (C1+) — you will coach client-facing conversations and speak with company leadership daily;
- An analytical, metrics-driven mindset — be ready to talk numbers: team quota attainment, conversion rates;
- A coaching-first management style: approachable, motivating, and direct;
- Experience hiring and onboarding salespeople is a strong plus;
- GDS knowledge (Amadeus, Sabre) is a plus.
