POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Carousel cocktail server is to ensure complete customer satisfaction by serving and providing beverages to our guests while creating a memorable experience.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Greets guests, presents menus, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding cocktails and maintains detailed knowledge of menu items, as well as wine lists, including ingredients and preparation.
- Maintains a clean and stocked workstation.
- Rings orders into the InfoGenesis system and ensures delivery of all items ordered. Presents the check and receives payment. Processes transactions of credit cards, gift cards, gift certificates, house accounts, cash, and traveler’s checks.
- Maintain high standards of service while creating the ultimate guest experience
- Maintain lounge cleanliness and polish glassware.
- Ensure correct health and sanitation practices are followed.
- Assist new employees with training and answering questions.
- Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines.
- Check IDs if the guest appears to be under 30.
- Be ethical and professional at all times.
- Follow uniform and appearance standards.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

- Must be able to handle standing and walking continuously with a tray of up to 15lbs throughout the shift.

- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Must be flexible to constantly changing work environments, service positions, and outlet team structures
- Must be able to adapt to Las Vegas weather, wind, rain, extreme heat, and extreme cold
- Ability to meet the company's production and quality standards

Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 6 months of prior beverage service experience with craft cocktails, beer, and wine knowledge
- Work requires knowledge of tray service and cocktail ingredients.
- At least 1 year of previous money handling position.
- Schedule flexibility, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- High school degree or equivalent.
Preferred:
- Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have the physical ability to access all areas of the facility; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items weighing at least 50 lbs. without restriction.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure; work indoors and outdoors, as well as being exposed to hot/cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
- Most work tasks are performed indoors; however, there are events where outdoor activities are required. Indoor temperatures are moderate and controlled by internal environmental systems.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and noisy environment.
