Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: Starting at $17.50 per hour
Schedule: Swing Shift – Afternoon and Overnight Availability Required
- Conduct vehicle patrols throughout the residential community.
- Monitor property access points, entrances, and common areas.
- Maintain a visible security presence to promote safety and deter unwanted activity.
- Respond professionally to resident concerns, incidents, and emergency situations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, guests, contractors, and vendors.
- Enforce community rules and regulations in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conduct routine security checks and identify potential safety concerns.
- Complete detailed, accurate, and timely incident reports and daily activity reports.
- Communicate effectively with residents, management, and SMI supervisors.
- Assist emergency personnel when required.
- Maintain professionalism and a high standard of appearance while representing SMI Security.
- Valid Florida Class "D" Security Officer License.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous vehicle patrol or residential security experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional report-writing experience.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Experience working in residential communities, gated communities, luxury properties, or hospitality environments.
- Experience interacting with residents and providing high-level customer service.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
