About Our Team
The Mono County Clerk-Recorder's Office serves as the official custodian of many of the County's most important public records and provides essential services that residents, businesses, and government agencies rely on every day. The office records and preserves real property documents, processes and maintains birth, death, and marriage records, issues marriage licenses, performs civil marriage ceremonies, processes fictitious business name filings, maintains County contracts and official records, and serves as the filing office for Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) Form 700 statements. The department is committed to providing accurate, efficient, and professional service while ensuring compliance with California law and preserving the integrity of the County's official records for future generations. Staff work closely as a team to deliver responsive public service and uphold the transparency and accountability that are fundamental to local government.

Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
FTS I
One (1) year of previous work experience in performing office, financial, or statistical support work.
FTS II
One (1) year of work experience in performing financial, statistical, assessment roll, treasury support, tax collection support, or document processing and recording work at a level comparable to Fiscal and Technical Specialist I with Mono County.
FTS III
Two (2) years of work experience in performing financial, statistical, assessment roll, treasury support, tax collection support, child support, or document processing and recording work at a level comparable to Fiscal and Technical Specialist II with Mono County.
FTS IV
Any combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
Two (2) years of work experience in performing financial, statistical, assessment roll, treasury support, tax collection support, child support, benefits, collections, information technology, or document processing and recording work at a level comparable to Fiscal and Technical Specialist III with Mono County.
