Job Description

As a Security Officer Roving Patrol Detail in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cruise Ops, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic cruise operations location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support guests and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, crew members, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a cruise operations location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, boarding areas, loading zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and reporting suspicious persons, vehicles, and/or packages in accordance with site procedures.
• Support day-to-day location operations by providing clear directions, assisting with crowd management during arrivals and departures, and completing routine reports related to security-related observations and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
