You will collaborate efficiently with internal and external teams such as the mechanical department, marketing, quality, and regulatory management in an agile organized development environment.

We are looking for an R&D Embedded Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Manage work packages and sub-projects, ensuring they meet time, cost, and quality requirements.

• Collaborate in product definition and prototype development, using agile methodologies, e.g. Design Thinking, User-Centered Design.

• Design, implement, test, and debug embedded systems and IoT devices, preparing them for series production (e.g. using EDA tools, SW configuration management, defect tracking).

• Execute, analyze, and document engineering tests, providing feedback for product optimization.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management processes, following industry standards.

• Support design transfer and product modifications, working with cross-functional teams.

• Participate in innovation processes, evaluating new technologies and proposing ideas.

Location

This is a Baar-based hybrid role, with three in-office days each week for rapid collaboration.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems Engineering, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally in medical or other highly regulated industries.

• Experience in hardware/firmware development for embedded microcontrollers, sensors and IoT protocols.

• Proficiency in C/C++ and familiarity with development environments like MS VisualStudio and IAR.

• Understanding of embedded systems design, real-time operating systems, IoT protocols, and control systems.

• Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

• Strong accountability and transparency, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
