The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.

## Your Responsibilities

As a Factory Engineering Part-Time Student for John Deere Harvester located in East Moline, IL, you will:

• Investigate, gather, and analyze data for identifying root cause of welding issues in departments you support
• Establish and maintain routings, pay standards, layouts, weld tooling, weldment costs, operator method sheets, and control plans
• Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas for welding operations
• Work with PDM, SAP, Wplanner/MPP, and Creo to perform engineering functions

This position is NOT available to students on immigration visas

## What Skills You Need

• Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline with an emphasis in welding; others may apply.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
• Graduation date of Spring of 2027 or later
• Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
• Available to work 30-40 hours/week during the summer semester
• Experience or formal education in Engineering
• Ability to effectively interact and communicate with union employees, peer engineers, and Supervisors.
• General understanding of Creo, AutoCAD or other modeling software
• Knowledge of engineering tools and systems
• Must be able to commute daily to the designated work location in East Moline, IL regularly. (NOTE: Relocation assistance is not provided)

## What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience or formal education in welding Engineering
• Knowledge of manufacturing weld processes, tooling, and facilities
• Experience programming and troubleshooting Fanuc robotics welding applications
• Experience with line and process design, material presentation, and line balancing
• Experience with Lincoln/Miller MIG welding equipment
• Experience with Laser Welding
