A leading global architecture and engineering firm with over 100 years of legacy is seeking a Senior Project Manager for its West Coast, Mid-West & East Coast offices. This established firm specializes in transformative design across multiple sectors, with offices strategically located throughout the United States. Their portfolio encompasses federal, healthcare, aviation, education, and commercial projects, delivered through integrated architecture, engineering, and interior design services.
The Senior Project Manager will lead the successful delivery of complex engineering projects. This individual will oversee multiple projects from planning through completion, ensuring exceptional client service, technical excellence, financial performance, and team collaboration.
The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a strong technical foundation, outstanding communication skills, and a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams while building long-term client relationships.

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects from concept through construction.

Define project scope, establish work plans, and develop realistic schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful execution while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget objectives.

Identify project risks early and implement proactive strategies to mitigate potential impacts.

Prepare project fees, develop proposals, and participate in contract negotiations with clients and consultants.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering trusted relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.

Lead project kickoff meetings and facilitate ongoing coordination meetings to maintain alignment across project teams.

Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) efforts to ensure technical accuracy and high-quality project deliverables.

Manage subconsultant performance, contract compliance, and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.

Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, billing, forecasting, and accounts receivable.

Identify and manage scope changes while preparing additional service proposals when appropriate.

Resolve project challenges quickly and professionally while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Mentor project managers and technical staff, helping develop future leaders within the organization.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management standards, processes, and best practices.

Support business development efforts through client engagement, proposal development, presentations, and strategic pursuits.
Requirements:

15+ years of experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry or an owner/facilities management environment.

Minimum of 5 years leading complex engineering or multidisciplinary design projects.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar professional registration is preferred.

Demonstrated success managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously while maintaining strong financial and operational performance.

Strong understanding of project delivery methods, construction practices, contract administration, and consultant coordination.

Experience preparing fee proposals, negotiating contracts, and managing project financial performance.

Proven ability to build trusted client relationships and serve as a strategic advisor throughout the project lifecycle.

Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Strong organizational abilities with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.

Experience mentoring project teams and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.

Proficiency with industry-standard project management software, including Deltek Vantagepoint, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office applications, is preferred.

Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops, user group meetings, or owner coordination sessions is a plus.
