Description
A high-growth international advisory firm is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced professional to join its expanding Insolvency & Restructuring practice in the Cayman Islands as a Director.
This individual has primary responsibility for leading the execution and delivery of a diverse portfolio of insolvency, restructuring, and advisory engagements. The successful candidate will oversee complex voluntary, provisional, and official liquidations, including cross-border and contentious matters, together with receiverships and other restructuring assignments. Working closely with Partners, you will ensure engagements are delivered to the highest technical and professional standards while providing strategic guidance to clients, managing key stakeholder relationships, and mentoring and developing members of the team.
While the primary focus of the role is the successful execution and management of engagements, the Director will also contribute to the continued growth of the practice by supporting business development initiatives, strengthening existing client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and enhancing the firm's profile across the Caribbean, U.S., and Asia. Candidates who bring an established professional network and a proven ability to generate new business will be well positioned to make a broader strategic impact.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, law, or a related discipline, together with a recognized professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, JIEB, or equivalent.
- Significant insolvency and restructuring experience at a similar level, with a strong track record managing voluntary, provisional, and official liquidations, receiverships, and complex restructuring and advisory engagements.
- Extensive technical knowledge of insolvency legislation, court procedures, regulatory frameworks, and cross-border insolvency matters.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex assignments and delivering high-quality outcomes within demanding timeframes.
- Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to build trusted advisor relationships with clients, legal counsel, lenders, regulators, and other stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness and an interest in supporting business development activities, with an existing professional network and business origination experience considered advantageous.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
