Senior Android Engineering Lead - Mobile Platform

This is a technical leadership role for a seasoned Android engineer who can take ownership across the full application lifecycle. The successful person will help build modern Android experiences, guide architectural choices, improve build and release practices, and raise the quality bar across the team.

Profile for Success

• Demonstrated experience delivering production-grade Android applications in a professional engineering environment.
• 8+ years of professional Android engineering experience, or equivalent depth gained through substantial mobile delivery.
• Strong hands-on Kotlin and Java capability, with practical depth in Coroutines, Flows, Jetpack Compose, Hilt, and Android Jetpack components.
• Evidence of applying MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularised architecture, and full SDLC practices to build maintainable and testable mobile systems.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party services securely and efficiently.
• Practical exposure to CI/CD, Gradle, Kotlin DSL, Git workflows, build management, and Android release processes.
• Proven ability to mentor other engineers, influence technical decisions, and communicate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, performance optimisation, and quality mindset.
