Overview
The Manager will support and help execute Jhpiego's business development strategy and revenue generation efforts with private foundations, corporations, and other funding entities. This role will identify, cultivate, and help secure partnerships that align with Jhpiego's mission and contribute to revenue growth. The ideal candidate is a relationship-oriented self-starter with demonstrated experience supporting or securing investments from institutional funders.
The Manager supports foundation and corporate revenue growth for Jhpiego. This role helps execute the strategy to expand philanthropic and corporate partnerships, diversify revenue, and support innovative financing models. The Manager will support partner engagement, help build a funding pipeline, and contribute to organizational capacity to achieve revenue goals.
This role works closely with the Strategic Growth & Partnerships team, and across the organization, to align partnership activities with Jhpiego's programmatic priorities.
Responsibilities
- Support execution of the business development strategy for foundations, corporations, and other funding entities in alignment with Jhpiego's strategic priorities.
- Cultivate and steward foundation and corporate relationships, helping articulate Jhpiego's value proposition, impact, and comparative advantage.
- Help build and manage a pipeline of foundation and corporate donors, including researching and supporting innovative partnership models such as co-funding, social enterprise, and blended or innovative financing.
- Track partnership plans, performance metrics, and revenue forecasts against defined indicators, and flag needed adjustments to the Director.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Jhpiego to help design and deliver partnership strategies and donor pitches.
- Monitor philanthropic, corporate, and global development funding trends, and surface actionable opportunities to the team.
- Support coordination and alignment across teams to advance an integrated approach to Foundation/Corporation business development.
- Identify opportunities to enhance Jhpiego's visibility and positioning with foundation and corporate partners.
- Represent Jhpiego in relevant forums, networks, and platforms to build relationships and support new partnership opportunities.
- Contribute to Jhpiego's reputation as a trusted, innovative partner for funders seeking measurable, scalable impact.
- Provide guidance and support to teammates involved in partnership development, as needed.
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.
- Work closely with technical, programmatic, and country teams to ensure partnership activities align with strategic priorities and country contexts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- Five years of progressive experience in business development, resource mobilization, or institutional fundraising.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Technical Qualifications & Specialized Certifications:
- Proficiency in CRM systems and business development tracking tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Experience in global health, international development, or humanitarian sectors.
- Experience working with foundations and/or corporations and track record of contributing to, or securing partnerships with these institutions.
The salary range for this role is expected to be: $87,76 - $109,538
