Procurement Specialist

About the role

At BOQ Group, we're continuing to evolve the way we work with our suppliers, partners and stakeholders, and we're looking for a Procurement Specialist to play an important role in that journey.

Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, you'll support the delivery of strategic sourcing, supplier management, commercial analysis and contract governance activities across the organisation. You'll partner with stakeholders from a broad range of business areas and help ensure procurement outcomes deliver value, manage risk and support great business decisions.

This is a hands-on role where you'll manage supplier and contract information, support sourcing activities and commercial negotiations, provide meaningful procurement insights and help guide stakeholders through the procurement lifecycle. You'll work closely with teams across Legal, Finance, Risk and the broader business while building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

A key focus of the role will be using data to identify opportunities, trends and risks within the supplier portfolio. You'll contribute to reporting, analytics and commercial recommendations that help drive better outcomes, while also supporting procurement governance, supplier due diligence and contract compliance activities.

We're also looking for someone who is curious about the future of procurement and excited by opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency and explore the use of AI and automation across procurement activities. You'll have the opportunity to influence how procurement services are delivered while continuing to develop your own capability across sourcing, commercial analysis and supplier governance.

About you

You – our preferred candidate is someone with previous procurement experience and enjoy balancing commercial thinking with strong stakeholder relationships. We're looking for someone who has already built a solid foundation in procurement and is confident managing supplier contracts, supporting negotiations and providing commercial insights that help stakeholders make informed decisions.

Ideally, you'll have a few years of hands-on procurement experience and be ready to take ownership of your work while continuing to grow your career in a company that really supports internal mobility & career development.  

Experience with procurement, contract management or enterprise systems such as Workday or similar platforms will be highly regarded but not necessary.

You're naturally analytical and enjoy working with data to uncover insights, identify opportunities and solve problems. You have strong attention to detail, can navigate competing priorities and feel comfortable managing procurement reporting, spend analysis and contract information.

Just as importantly, you're a collaborative communicator who enjoys building relationships and working with a variety of stakeholders. You know how to balance business needs, commercial outcomes and governance requirements, and you're comfortable engaging with both suppliers and internal teams to achieve positive results.
