Solutions Auto Group is searching for an experienced A-Level Automotive Diagnostic & Repair Specialist who is exceptionally good at diagnosing vehicles, solving difficult problems, and getting repairs completed correctly and efficiently.

What Does $38 an Hour Mean?

$38/hour is top-performer compensation.

We aren't going to decide someone is worth the top of the range because they've been a mechanic for 20 years.

We're going to look at what you can actually do.

Can you diagnose difficult problems?

Can you understand wiring diagrams?

Can you interpret scan data?

Can you perform pinpoint testing?

Can you solve electrical problems without throwing parts at them?

Can you produce?

Can you get vehicles completed instead of allowing them to sit in your bay for days?

Can you document your findings and stand behind your diagnosis?

If the answer is yes, there is an opportunity to earn at the top of our range.

Parts Changers Need Not Apply

If your diagnostic strategy is:

“Let's replace this and see what happens.”

This probably isn't the right position.

We want someone who understands the difference between:

A code and a diagnosis.

A symptom and a cause.

Testing and guessing.

Being busy and being productive.

We're looking for someone who knows how to prove what's wrong before replacing parts.

What Makes Someone an A-Level Specialist Here?

You don't have to know everything.

Nobody does.

But you should know how to figure out what you don't know.

We're looking for strong ability in several of these areas:

• Advanced automotive diagnostics

• Electrical and electronic diagnosis

• Wiring diagrams and schematics

• Scan-data interpretation

• Pinpoint testing

• Intermittent electrical problems

• Parasitic draws

• CAN/network diagnosis

• Check-engine-light diagnosis

• Drivability concerns

• Engine performance

• Starting and charging systems

• A/C diagnosis and repair

• Cooling systems

• Engine and powertrain repair

• Suspension and steering

• Brakes and ABS

• Domestic and import vehicles

• Modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment

ASE certifications are welcomed and respected.

But certificates don't replace the ability to diagnose and repair a vehicle.

Solutions Auto Group uses Tekmetric for repair orders, workflow, technician time, documentation, efficiency, and production.

Every technician is expected to use it correctly.

That means:

• Clocking into jobs

• Documenting findings

• Recording repairs

• Communicating roadblocks

• Closing out completed work

We're not interested in micromanaging talented people.

We want accurate information so you and management can both see:

What came in.
What you diagnosed.
What you repaired.
How long it took.
What you produced.
Whether the repair was completed correctly.

Compensation & Schedule

$25–$38/hour based on proven ability and performance

40-hour weekly guarantee

Monday–Friday

No weekends

5-day workweek

We're open to discussing hourly, performance-based, or hybrid compensation structures for the right Specialist.
