## The team you will be a part of

The Engineering team discovers, develops and evaluates new product ideas, enhancements, or strategic product extensions, and translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products. Leads, plans and tracks all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace. Coordinates with various functions to ensure successful product development and implementation.

## This role in summary

Responsible for supporting in improvement of NVH characteristics of Products/Projects through NVH Simulations.

## Your responsibilities will include

Technical Expertise:

1. Proficient in component/subsystem/system level Vibration simulations using MSC-Nastran.

2. Proficient in component/subsystem/system level Noise simulations using ESI-VA One.

3. Proficient in component/subsystem/system level Noise simulations using LMS-Virtual Lab/Sysnoise.

4. Proficient in 2D and 3D meshing of sheet metals and plastics using Altair-Hypermesh.

Required Technical Experience:

1. Should have knowledge of Acoustics, Noise and Vibrations.

2. Should have experience in Structure Borne (SB) and exposure to Airborne (AB) Noise Simulations.

3. Should have core Vibration and Noise Simulation experience like Normal Modes, Vibration Transfer Functions, SB Noise Transfer Functions etc.

4. Exposure to Airborne Noise simulations like AB Acoustic Transfer Functions, Acoustic Modes, Sound Transmission Loss, Sound Insertion Loss etc. will be an added advantage.

5. Should have knowledge of numerical techniques like Finite Element Method (FEM) and Boundary Element Method (BEM).

6. Basic understanding of Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA).

7. Understand the NVH measurement Data and derive inputs accordingly for the Simulations and Correlations.

## Minimum requirements

Education:

M.tech from Mechanical/Automobile/Aerospace Engineering.

Experience: 1-4 Years

Key Deliverables:

1. Execute the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) Simulation projects as an individual contributor.

2. Translate Simulation Requests, Physical Problems into Numerical Models with the help of Reviewers..

3. Analyze, investigate and mitigate problems at Component/Subsystem with supervision.

4. Understand which NVH Tools and Techniques to be used to improve NVH characteristics.

5. Establishing correlations and validations at Component/Subsystems Level.

6. Provide Noise Control Measures based on simulations.

7. Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with Global Counterparts.

## Preferred skills and experiences

TECHNICAL

1. Knowledge of Acoustics, Noise and Vibrations.

2. Knowledge of numerical techniques like Finite Element Method (FEM) and Boundary Element Method (BEM).

3. Basic understanding NVH Measurement Data

4. Proficiency in Simulation tools like Hypermesh, Nastran, VA One, LMS Virtual Lab, Actran etc.

5. Results interpretation skills.
