Kean Miller is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support our Estate Planning Practice Group in the Houston office.


Responsibilities: 

  • Support the Estate Planning Partner and serve as a primary client contact
  • Prepare and finalize estate planning documents (wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.) and coordinate execution (witnesses, notary, signings)
  •  Manage confidential client intake, profiles, deadlines, and follow-up items
  • Assist with asset-related organization including account information, property lists, and beneficiary designations
  • Handle scheduling, calendars, meetings, travel, and client signing events
  • Create and edit complex documents with strong attention to detail
  • Support time entry and billing
  • Perform administrative tasks such as printing, scanning, creating binder, etc.  

Requirements 

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Finance preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting an attorney in a private firm or in-house legal department
  • Experience with estate planning or probate practice strongly preferred
  • Superior organizational skills with exceptional accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and client-service orientation
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and anticipate needs
  • Comfort working with financial documents, asset lists, and client data
