U.S. Bank Global Fund Services is seeking future team members for the role of Fund Accounting Manager.

In this role you will manage a group of accountants, accounting specialists, and/or support staff responsible for the accurate and timely processing of transactions, general ledger maintenance and reporting, and administration of accounting controls. As an Accounting manager you will train, motivate, assign work, schedule work hours, check results, and assist with performance reviews for assigned staff.

• Assists with the preparation of the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and monthly variance analyses.
• Researches and resolves various accounting issues.
• Ensures questions from both internal and external customers are researched and resolved in a timely manner.
• Participates in department and company projects and may lead smaller projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working as part of a team responsible to maintain the general ledger and records of mutual funds of varying complexity and producing end of day net asset value calculation.
• Preparing daily general ledger accounting, prime broker/bank cash reconciliations, advisor/portfolio management processing, corporate action application, expense accrual/payment postings, daily net asset value and mill rate determinations, portfolio pricing analysis/validations, timely internal/external information distributions, portfolio reconciliations, etc.
• Partnering with various internal/external administrators, transfer agencies and prime brokers/custodian relationships collaborating on compliance, audit and financials, while ensuring all Fund Accounting functions are in compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP principles.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (preferred) or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Five or more years of experience in accounting or finance activities

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Thorough knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping principles, theories, and controls
• Well-developed mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze and interpret data
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
• Basic knowledge of applicable financial laws, regulations and reporting requirements
• Proficiency with MS Excel and ability to pick up new systems
• CPA and management experience preferred

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $98,175.00 - $115,500.00
