We are looking for a motivated AI Software Engineer to join ASI’s digital innovation team and help improve how we serve our primarily B2C (Business-to-Consumer) customers. This role is ideal for candidates excited about AI, automation, and customer service, and eager to learn by building and improving AI-driven interactions.This role will support the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions that power contact center operations and customer engagement. The AI Software Engineer will work as part of a cross-functional team of engineers, architects, and program leadership to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions for capabilities such as order management, scheduling repairs, processing warranty claims, and product troubleshooting.
This role will collaborate closely with senior engineers and architects to implement features, fix issues, and improve system performance. The AI Software Engineer will contribute to code development, testing, and documentation, while learning best practices in software engineering, AI integration, and system design. This role provides opportunities to grow technical skills, gain exposure to AI-driven systems, and take on increasing ownership over time.

AI Agent Development & Implementation
- Assist in building and maintaining AI-driven conversational agents that support customer engagement use cases (e.g., FAQs, order management, repair scheduling, troubleshooting)
- Contribute to identifying and translating existing customer service workflows, business processes, and support operations into AI-enabled solutions
- Support the development and improvement of AI copilots and employee-facing tools following established patterns and guidance from senior engineers
- Work with engineers, product owners, and domain experts to understand requirements and help translate them into working solutions
- Follow established development standards and contribute to reusable components and documentation
Agent Tuning & Optimization
- Analyze basic performance metrics and customer interaction data to help identify issues and improvement opportunities
- Assist in configuring and tuning AI/NLP models to improve intent recognition and response quality
- Support testing efforts, including validating changes and incorporating feedback from users and stakeholders
Transactional Flows & System Integration
- Assist implementing conversational flows that integrate with backend systems (e.g., CRM, ERP, telephony)
- Contribute to API integrations and service connections under guidance from senior engineers
- Follow best practices for security, privacy, and data handling when working with customer information
Operational Support & Continuous Improvement
- Learn and apply AI/LLM concepts, tools, and best practices with guidance from senior team members
- Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
- Seek feedback and guidance to continuously improve technical and domain knowledge
- Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting production issues, ensuring reliability and performance of AI-driven systems
- Follow established practices for code quality, testing, and deployment (CI/CD)
- Stay curious and continue learning about AI, NLP, and contact center technologies
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Basic Qualifications:
- 1–3+ years of experience in software development, systems configuration, or technical solution delivery (including internal platforms such as CRM, helpdesk, or analytics systems)
- Experience with at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Apex) or low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Salesforce)
- Hands-on experience working with business systems, workflows, or customer-facing platforms (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, contact center tools)
- Experience building reports, dashboards, or data-driven solutions (e.g., Tableau or similar analytics tools)
- Exposure to APIs, system integrations, or data flows between applications
- Familiarity with software development fundamentals such as version control, testing, or release processes
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Effective communication skills and experience working with cross-functional stakeholders
- Interest in AI/automation and a willingness to learn and apply AI concepts in real-world use cases
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with a B2C contact center, especially in a consumer goods or appliance manufacturer environment.
- Experience customizing or developing within Salesforce (e.g., Apex, flows, integrations)
- Experience supporting contact center operations, customer service workflows, or helpdesk platforms
- Exposure to AI/ML concepts, conversational AI, or chatbot tools
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, or performance metrics (e.g., Tableau)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or modern application architectures
- Experience working on automation or process optimization initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
