Job Summary:

The Esthetician Manager is responsible for leading the esthetician team while ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and adherence to FACE FOUNDRIÉ standards. This role blends leadership, training, and hands-on service delivery to support business performance and team development. The Esthetician Manager oversees hiring, coaching, scheduling, compliance, and performance management for the esthetician team while maintaining a high standard of client care and service quality.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Staff Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the esthetician team to maintain a high-performing and positive workplace culture.
  • Conduct interviews and the process for hiring new esthetician team members.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to support professional development and service excellence.
  • Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews and hold team members accountable to established benchmarks and goals.
  • Maintain a professional, supportive, and gossip-free environment that promotes collaboration, accountability, and respect.
  • Review and approve time off for estheticians
  • Serve as an approachable and effective communicator who leads by example and models professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.

2. Operations & Compliance Management:

  • Assist with creating and maintaining esthetician schedules in Boulevard, including appropriate coverage for breaks and lunches.
  • Monitor timekeeping to ensure esthetician staff accurately clock in, clock out, and record meal breaks.
  • Review and approve time-off requests, escalating questions when necessary.
  • Ensure all safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards are followed before, during, and after services to remain compliant with state board regulations.
  • Oversee inventory management in collaboration with the Lead Esthetician, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper product control and inventory management.
  • Coordinate store cleaning responsibilities, ensuring treatment rooms, dispensing areas, restrooms, and back-of-house areas meet FACE FOUNDRIÉ cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain open communication with the District Manager using Gmail and other company systems to ensure operational needs are addressed.

3. Training & Team Development:

  • Design and implement training curriculum for new estheticians onboarding and ongoing development.
  • Train and coach estheticians on FACE FOUNDRIÉ protocols, service standards, product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide ongoing education on new services, products, and operational updates.
  • Partner with product and equipment representatives to schedule and facilitate training sessions for the team.
  • Utilize training platforms such as Eloomi to support ongoing professional development.
  • Identify development opportunities for individual estheticians and create actionable plans to enhance their skills, performance management, and Safety and legal compliance.
  • Coach and train esthetician staff to help achieve store and individual sales goals.
  • Support the Lead Esthetician by delegating training responsibilities and optimizing training schedules.

4. Client Experience, Marketing & Financial Performance:

  • Deliver high-quality esthetic services including dermaplaning, HydraFacial, Procell, chemical peels, brow lamination, lash lift, and tint while modeling service excellence.
  • Maintain an active client base and perform services regularly in addition to managerial duties.
  • Ensure all clients receive exceptional service and address concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Hold the team accountable for meeting key business metrics, including service sales, product sales, membership goals, and rebooking rates.
  • Utilize CRM tools such as Axle to support client relationships, follow-ups, and promotions.
  • Collaborate with marketing initiatives, including events, pop-ups, and social media engagement to promote services and brand awareness.
  • Encourage team participation in social media and promotional activities that build excitement and visibility for the business.
  • Partner with the District Manager to implement strategies that drive revenue growth, sales targets, and profitability goals.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Active California Esthetician License required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a spa, skincare clinic, or beauty services environment.
  • Expertise in advanced esthetic services, including dermaplaning, HydraFacial, chemical peels, and related treatments.
  • Strong training, coaching, and performance management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with proficiency in Gmail, scheduling systems, and client management platforms.

Pay: hourly pay + product commission + gratuities + membership sales commission

Location: FACE FOUNDRIÉ – The Veranda in Concord, CA

Schedule: Full-Time - Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and some holidays
