Our 28-bed Medical Surgical unit cares for a diverse patient population, with a strong focus on geriatric patients and those requiring isolation precautions. With negative-pressure capabilities and a variety of patient needs, no two days are exactly the same. This is a great opportunity for nurses who enjoy building strong clinical skills, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and making a meaningful impact on patients and their families.

What You'll Do
As a Registered Nurse on our Medical Surgical Unit, you'll use your clinical judgment, compassion, and nursing expertise to provide safe, high-quality care to your patients.
You'll:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
- Prioritize and coordinate care for assigned patients
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the appropriate members of the care team
- Safely perform nursing procedures and follow established standards of care
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Delegate and supervise patient care activities appropriately
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Deliver effective handoffs to promote continuity of care
- Maintain a safe environment while following infection prevention, patient safety, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Support your teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment
- Continue developing your nursing knowledge and skills
Must Haves
Minimum:
- Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana and as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
