Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned compliance expert to lead our Information Security and TBA (Telecommunication Business Act) Compliance functions. This pivotal leadership role focuses on establishing comprehensive visibility into critical information assets across all business sectors. You will be responsible for monitoring adherence to legal, certification, and internal policy requirements, ensuring that any non-compliance issues are identified and remediated swiftly to fortify the organization's security posture.
What You Will Do

Design and implement robust, efficient compliance monitoring programs centered on prioritized enterprise-wide critical assets.

Develop comprehensive monitoring checklists that integrate legal mandates (TBA, Network Act), certification standards (ISMS-P), and internal security policies.

Establish and execute data-driven monitoring plans to preemptively identify and mitigate potential critical vulnerabilities.

Partner with Security, Legal, and Engineering teams to drive the remediation process, ensuring all identified issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Maintain a systematic tracking system for unresolved gaps and manage the escalation process for high-priority risks to senior management.

Transform complex compliance status into actionable data visualizations, providing strategic insights to guide executive decision-making.
Basic Qualifications
-
Minimum of 10 years in Information Security, with proven experience in leadership and security monitoring/auditing.

Demonstrated success in securing asset visibility and managing critical inventories within complex enterprise environments.

Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud architecture, emerging security trends, and the core principles of security controls.

Strong ability to pinpoint security blind spots within vast datasets and prioritize risks based on business impact.

Thorough knowledge of South Korean security regulations, including the Telecommunication Business Act (TBA) and the Network Act.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications

Holder of professional certifications such as ISMS-P Auditor, CISSP, or CSAP.

Experience in security operations and compliance within AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.

Exceptional ability to translate technical vulnerabilities into business risk language to persuade and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Document Return Policy
- This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.
- A job applicant, who has applied but not been finally selected for a position at Coupang (the “Company”), may request the Company to return his/her hiring documents submitted pursuant to the Fair Hiring Procedure Act. However, this will not apply where the hiring documents were submitted via the website of the Company or e-mail, or where the job applicant submitted those documents voluntarily without a request from the Company. In addition, if the hiring documents were destroyed due to a natural disaster or any other reasons not attributable to the Company, such documents will be deemed to have been returned to the job applicant.
- A job applicant who wishes to request the return of his/her hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above should fill out a “Request for Return of Hiring Documents” [Annex Form No. 3 in the Enforcement Rule of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act] and submit It by email ([email protected]). In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.
- In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
- The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable.
