Practice Administrator – Oral Surgery

Location: Amarillo, Texas
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports To: Regional Manager
Compensation: $80,000+ annually, plus performance incentives and benefits

About Our Client
Our client is a busy, well-established oral and maxillofacial surgery practice seeking an experienced Practice Administrator to lead daily operations and support continued practice growth.

Position Overview
The Practice Administrator will oversee daily practice operations, lead and develop the team, and drive improvements in efficiency and overall performance. This hands-on leadership role requires someone who can effectively manage people, analyze practice performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement systems that support long-term success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise front office and clinical support staff.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and daily operations.
  • Train, mentor, and hold team members accountable.
  • Oversee scheduling, insurance verification, treatment coordination, financial arrangements, and collections.
  • Monitor production, collections, scheduling efficiency, case acceptance, and patient satisfaction.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement effective processes and solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
  • Manage supplies and inventory within budget.
  • Partner with providers and leadership to support practice growth and operational goals.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a dental, oral surgery, medical, or healthcare practice
  • Previous experience as an Office Manager, Team Lead, Practice Manager, or Practice Administrator
  • Strong understanding of practice operations, production, collections, and key performance metrics
  • Knowledge of dental insurance, treatment coordination, and financial arrangements
  • Experience with dental practice management software, including DSN
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred: Oral surgery or specialty practice experience, multi-location experience, IV sedation/surgical scheduling knowledge, and bilingual English/Spanish skills.
Compensation & Benefits
$80,000+ annually, based on experience, plus performance incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
