Assistant Women’s Wrestling Coach
Chatham University is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Women's Wrestling Coach to support all aspects of its NCAA Division III Women's Wrestling Program, a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). This position offers an excellent opportunity to help build a competitive program while fostering the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes.
The Assistant Women's Wrestling Coach will assist the Head Women's Wrestling Coach in the daily operation of the wrestling program. Responsibilities include recruiting prospective student-athletes, supporting coaching and player development, assisting with program administration, and ensuring compliance with NCAA Division III, PAC, and University regulations. The successful candidate will serve as a positive role model and ambassador for Chatham University and its athletics programs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating recruiting efforts to attract qualified student-athletes.
Support athletic planning, program development, and the assessment of student-athlete performance, retention, personal growth, and leadership development.
Assist with practice planning, competition preparation, and day-to-day program operations.
Help oversee and manage program resources and equipment.
Support campus initiatives and assist in coordinating athletic events that enhance campus engagement and school spirit.
Ensure compliance with all Chatham University, NCAA Division III, and Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) rules, regulations, and policies.
Represent the Women's Wrestling program at on-campus events, admissions programs, and University functions.
Represent the program at recruiting events, tournaments, and high school competitions.
Promote a culture of sportsmanship, integrity, academic achievement, and personal responsibility.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Women's Wrestling Coach.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required.
Excellent leadership skills and strong character.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Commitment to the educational mission of NCAA Division III athletics.
