We are hiring a Developer in Test
Hybrid working model - Novi Sad or Belgrade office
Role Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Developer in Test with strong C# development skills, proven experience automating backend application tests, and solid API testing experience to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of software solutions through a strong focus on test automation, technical testing, and engineering excellence. You will work closely with developers, product teams, and other quality engineers to build quality into the software development lifecycle while continuously improving testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and development practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using the same coding languages, tools, and standards as the development team
Create reliable, scalable, and efficient automated tests while minimizing manual testing activities
Investigate test failures, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve test automation effectiveness
Leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies to accelerate test development and improve productivity
Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery
Perform root cause analysis of defects and investigate issues directly within the application code when required
Collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders in software design discussions, user story refinement, and acceptance criteria definition
Mentor team members on automation best practices and contribute to automation backlog initiatives
Act as a subject matter expert for product and testing knowledge, actively participating in knowledge-sharing activities across engineering teams
Continuously advocate for quality, innovation, and engineering excellence throughout the development lifecycle
Your Profile:
3+ years of hands-on experience with C#, including writing unit and integration tests, creating mocks and stubs, and working with mocking frameworks
Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks
Minimum 2+ years of experience in API testing
Proven experience with test automation, technical testing, and quality engineering practices
Experience working with Docker and knowledge in building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
Solid understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, processes, and best practices
Understanding of web technologies, including RESTful APIs, web services, and application servers
Familiarity with, or strong interest in, using AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar solutions to improve development and testing workflows
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues and perform root cause analysis
Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to fast-paced, complex environments
Comfortable participating in and driving technical discussions with engineering teams
Collaborative mindset with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Proactive approach to personal development, ownership, and continuous improvement
Passion for software quality and delivering exceptional user experiences
Plus if you have:
Experience mentoring team members and promoting automation best practices
Experience working in cloud-based environments
Knowledge of performance or end-to-end testing
Experience contributing to software architecture discussions and Agile delivery teams
Experience with energy trading, financial services, or other highly transactional systems
