Inventory Specialist
Job Summary:
As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable inventory execution to support the delivery of industry‑leading solar energy solutions. This role is responsible for daily inventory transaction posting, ongoing inventory monitoring and reporting, and monthly inventory analysis to maintain data integrity across our operations. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and dependability. Occasional evening or weekend support may be required to support physical inventory counts or critical operational needs.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Execute and monitor daily inventory transactions to ensure accurate and timely system postings
Identify and help resolve inventory discrepancies related to storage, movement, costing, and data accuracy
Support cycle counts and physical inventories, including preparation, execution, and variance reconciliation
Verify inventory balances across warehouses, production sites, and job sites through physical checks and system validation
Review inventory transaction activity to ensure adherence to documented processes and GAAP requirements
Maintain accurate inventory records for receipts, issues, transfers, and customer job‑site deliveries
Assist in identifying process gaps and root causes contributing to inventory errors or losses
Support process improvements that strengthen inventory control, accuracy, and operational efficiency
Provide inventory data and transaction support to Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance teams
Safeguard company assets and information by following control standards and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, supply chain management, or other related fields
4+ years of inventory management experience
3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office
Preferred qualifications:
Previous data and systems analysis experience
Background in project accounting
SAP ERP/accounting software experience
Strong commitment to customer service
Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization and organizational skills
Ability to work across multiple organizations in a fast paced, smaller company environment
Ability to work well independently under tight deadlines
