Vault Clerk

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is under the direct supervision of the Cash Operations Manager and is located at The Stables Casino. The Vault serves as the casino’s main source of gaming funds. The Vault Clerk is responsible for the proper execution and accountability of employee/casino floor financial transactions, as well as the general accountability, safeguarding and balancing of vault funds.

MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Perform employee and casino floor financial transactions (i.e., bank issuances, bank returns, tip drops, event drops, fills, credits, etc.) 
• Verify the daily drop of gaming proceeds and accept accountability for such from Soft Count 
• Maintain security and balancing of cash and cash equivalents in their accountability. 
• Responsible for accurate cash handling of amounts 
• Maintain an organized workstation
• Ensure shift-end paperwork is properly organized, totaled, and balanced 
• Keep accurate records of monetary exchanges, authorization forms, and transactions reconciliations.
• Fill/maintain ATM’s, Kiosks, Recycler, and Dyna Cash Machine

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains the highest level of confidentiality
• Performs other tasks and duties as directed

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must have one (1) to two (2) years related experience or training (preferred)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Modoc Nation Gaming License
• May be subject to criminal background investigation
• Must possess in high integrity regarding confidential and sensitive information
• Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Must have the ability to work in fast paced environment, multitask and meet deadlines

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE:

• Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
• Performs all duties in accordance with the gaming operations core values, objectives of the Modoc Nation, system of internal control policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act.
