Position Summary

The Process Improvement Prog Mgr Sr leads enterprise-wide initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, quality, patient safety, and outcomes in a healthcare setting. Key responsibilities include educating, coaching, and mentoring process improvement (PI) team members in addition to all MHS employees; designing and executing scalable improvement strategies; conducting large-scale data analysis and workflow assessments; and collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions. This role facilitates the use of process improvement methodologies and supports compliance with regulatory requirements and quality goals. Candidates must have strong critical thinking skills, extensive experience in quality, process improvement, and data analysis. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills are essential, along with social astuteness, the ability to coach teams, positively influence leaders, handle challenging conversations and complex problems while role modeling MHS values, and promoting best practices throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Senior level role encompasses the duties of the “Staff” role and in addition does the following items:
• Lead enterprise level Strategy Deployment (SD) education, facilitation and coaching.
• Lead, design and execute scalable initiatives to improve the effectiveness and service quality of the PI department.
• Perform large scale, complex data analysis, benchmarking, analyze business processes and assist with analyzing clinical processes using data, interviewing, and observation to document workflows.
• Deliver expert recommendations for optimizing workflows, enhancing efficiency, implementing safe and appropriate simplification strategies, reducing errors, eliminating obstacles, and achieving superior outcomes.
• Lead the enterprise-wide establishment and sharing of standardized processes and best practices.
• Onboard and train new PI team members in all PI services and develop PI training and curriculum.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in a related field required.
• Relevant certification in process improvement, quality, or patient safety (e.g., IHI Basic Cert, LSSBB) required
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a professional or technical role/function in a healthcare or related setting.
• Minimum of five (5) years leading or coaching performance improvement.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in quality, process improvement, project/program management or any combination of these areas.
• Consideration given to internal candidates not meeting all minimum requirements.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $108,680.00 - $156,353.60 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
