Technical Service Specialist - Automotive Coatings

We are currently looking for a Technical Service Specialist - Automotive Coatings (m/f/d) to provide on-site technical expertise and support for our key customer, Volvo in Gent (Belgium).

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of a major automotive manufacturing environment and play a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and process excellence.

Responsibilities

·       Providing expert application-related advice and technical support on-site at Volvo Gent

·       Processing and responding to application-related enquiries regarding products, systems, and processes

·       Planning, conducting, and analyzing application trials at the customer’s site, including documenting trial activities, results, and recommendations

·       Independently managing, investigating, and resolving customer complaints

·       Performing root cause analyses and identifying optimization opportunities based on practical experience and established product management guidelines

·       Providing technical application support for the launch of new products, systems, and technologies in close collaboration with Marketing, Product Management, and Sales teams

·       Leading and contributing to customer-focused technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

·       Completed vocational training as a Paint Laboratory Technician, Paint Technician, Master Painter, or equivalent technical qualification, combined with relevant professional experience

·       Several years of experience working within customer manufacturing environments

·       Strong knowledge of coating systems and painting processes within automotive plants or related supplier industries

·       Solid product knowledge and technical expertise

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·       High level of commitment, flexibility, and customer focus

·       Confident, professional, and engaging approach when interacting with customers

·       Very good command of English

·       Good IT skills and experience with application-related software and tools
