Staff Accountant

Description

Allpoints Surveying is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our team and support accurate financial reporting while contributing to the organization’s continued growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment. 

The ideal candidate will work closely with the accounting team to support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, ensure transactions are recorded accurately and timely, and maintain financial schedules and reconciliations.  

Responsibilities

• Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process, reporting and accounting activities.
• Support the Accounting Manager in ensuring accurate and timely posting of transactions including treasury and journal entries, maintaining schedules, reconciliations.
• Assist with audit: obtaining appropriate support throughout daily operations, drafting work files and gathering support as required by the PBC.
• Ad hoc reporting and projects as needed. 
• Assist with gathering budget support.
• Assist with establishing and recording processes and workflows after new ERP integration. 

Requirements

• 0-3 years’ experience within an accounting department 
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field 
• CPA, CPA candidate, or CPA equivalent is a plus.   
• Basic knowledge of GAAP
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Experience with MS office tools, SharePoint, Tableau and PowerBI is a plus.
• Experience with an ERP system is a plus 
• Ability to analyze and reconcile subledger to GL 
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work cross-departmentally and professionally address individuals within management 

Working Conditions

This role follows a five-day (5) workweek in the Houston office from Monday to Friday, with eligibility to work a hybrid schedule upon meeting requirements.
