Truck Driver (CDL) – Equipment Transport and Delivery
We are seeking a reliable and professional CDL truck driver to join our team, responsible for transporting, delivering, and retrieving equipment across various locations. Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles to transport equipment to and from designated locations
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery and retrieval of equipment, adhering to schedules and deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and mileage
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements
- Proven experience operating large trucks or commercial vehicles
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for transporting equipment
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Good communication skills and professionalism
- Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment when necessary
