Overview
Brandes Associates, Inc. (BAI), a defense contractor with over 35 years of continuous performance, seeks a Logistician with 3+ years of experience to support the logistics workflow and goods (hardware, spares, technical documentation, and Depot level services) that optimize the support and sustainment of use of the deployable products for a program of record at Naval Base Ventura County Naval Air Station Point Mugu, Ca. Salary
The typical annual salary range for this position is $75,000.00 USD to $90,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.
Responsibilities
- Support logistics and supply chain management for high-value, mission-critical defense programs including the execution and oversight of maintenance planning, material support, supplier coordination, and logistics process improvement
- Sustain lifecycle logistics, incorporating prescribed acquisition-driven strategies, supplier risk mitigation, and readiness planning to enhance operational availability of configured end items
- Coordinate and interact with engineering, maintenance, supply, and program management teams to resolve sustainment risks and align sustainment outcomes to mission execution
- Support procurement activities, vendor and supply chain performance, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations (including FAR/DFARS) and best practices
- Verify technical procedures, maintenance documentation, and logistics training materials to support end users and maintainers at all levels
- Draft reports, briefs, and performance metrics for program leadership decision support and strategic sourcing initiatives
- Execute inventory audits, repairable asset management recommendations, spares planning and provisioning, and transportation of goods, support audits of program configuration end items
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Continuous Improvement methodologies
Qualifications
• Minimum of 3-10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related DoD/acquisition logistics functions, within operational environments
• Proven success supporting and reporting on large-value material inventories, direct participation in cross-functional logistics team services, and superior audit/inspection outcomes• Comprehensive supply chain risk management, inventory/accountability governance, and end-to-end lifecycle logistics strategies.• Experience with multiple vendor type management and interaction servicing procurement collaboration, contract lifecycle support, and readiness optimization• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-visibility Department of Defense environments with full compliance to U.S. Navy and NAVSUP processes and procedures• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—verbal, non-verbal, written, and listening—for staff, customer, and organizational level communications, both formal and informal• Ability to work independently, self-starter• Working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite programs, MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

• Demonstrated history of high-value inventory management with zero-loss outcomes• Experience conducting logistics interface between engineering, sustainment, and operational commands• Expertise in development of logistics training courses, technical documentation, and SOPs for DoD systems
EDUCATIONDegree: BS or BA degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or a relevant technical discipline.Allowable Substitution: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree (6+3=9), or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree (6+4+3=13).
