About this opportunity
We are looking for a MS Core and Cloud Specialist CEE/CNIS & SDN Network. You will operate and maintain Telco Cloud infrastructure and software-defined networking, including compute, storage, network, SDN controllers, switches, routers, load balancers and firewalls, supporting virtualized network functions in a 24x7 environment based in Sydney, Australia.
What you will do
- Operate and maintain Ericsson Cloud products such as CEE and CNIS on Linux and OpenStack platforms.
- Manage and troubleshoot Docker and Kubernetes-based workloads, including Red Hat OpenShift and related enterprise distributions.
- Maintain hyperscale cloud hardware platforms (Ericsson HDS8000/BSP8100, Dell, HPE) and associated storage solutions (Ceph, ScaleIO, Nexenta).
- Operate and maintain data-center network infrastructure (Cisco/Juniper switches and routers).
- Manage and troubleshoot load balancers (e.g. F5, A10) and firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate, A10).
- Work with Pluribus Networks and Ericsson SDN (ODL-based) solutions for virtualized and programmable networking.
- Integrate and support OpenStack/Kubernetes networking (Red Hat, Mirantis and related distributions).
- Perform configuration, capacity and health checks across compute, storage and network layers.
- Monitor cloud and network infrastructure using tools such as Zabbix, ZenOSS, Nagios Log Server and Ericsson OMC.
- Use scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Ansible) to streamline operations, deployments and network configuration.
- Collaborate with cloud, core, network and application teams to ensure stable, resilient, secure and performant environments for virtualized network functions.
You will bring
- Strong Linux and OpenStack background (e.g. Red Hat, Mirantis).
- Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes operations, including enterprise distributions such as OpenShift.
- Expertise in Ericsson Cloud products (CEE, CNIS) and hyperscale hardware platforms (Ericsson HDS8000/BSP8100, Dell, HPE).
- Good working knowledge of cloud storage products (Ceph, ScaleIO, Nexenta).
- Strong networking background with hands-on experience on Cisco and Juniper switches and routers.
- Knowledge of load balancer technologies (F5, A10) and firewall platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Fortigate, A10).
- Good working knowledge of SDN solutions (Pluribus, Ericsson SDN/ODL) and their integration with cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with OpenStack and Kubernetes networking architectures.
- Familiarity with data-center network technologies (switches, routers, load balancers).
Additional core competence
- Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, ZenOSS, Nagios Log Server, Ericsson OMC).
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python and Ansible for automation, troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving mindset and customer-first attitude.
- Readiness and willingness to work in a 24x7 operations environment.
