Job Description:
The Director, Information Security, oversees the enterprise processes for technical and physical risk management and associated architecture to protect UPS’s information assets. This position directs risk management, the development of enterprise security strategies that support business priorities, and the resolution of highly complex security issues. He/She drives complex technical and professional work functions to identify, investigate, analyze, and remediate information security events. This position oversees security services, policies, procedures, standards, best practices, and solutions through the security governance process. He/She ensures enterprise-wide legal, regulatory, policy, and contractual compliance. The Director, Information Security, drives product, service, and procedure evaluations to enhance security functionality. This position influences customer information assurance, stakeholder confidence, and risk aversion. He/She collaborates with senior and executive management, colleagues, and stakeholders to leverage resources, achieve objectives, identify business opportunities, increase customer satisfaction, evaluate emerging technologies, determine readiness for projects, and assess risks.
