Description
Position Summary
The District Manager oversees the performance, operations, and teams of a group of retail locations across the US. This is a hands-on, field-based leadership role: you will spend most of your time in stores — coaching Store Managers, driving sales and operational excellence, and providing on-the-ground training and support for new store openings. Frequent travel across the country and to new store sites is a core part of the job.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee a group of store locations across the US, driving sales, operational excellence, and consistent brand standards.
- Support new store openings and provide hands-on training new store teams before, during, and after launch.
- Travel frequently and extensively across the country and to new and existing store locations — travel is a significant, ongoing part of this role.
- Train, develop, and retain high-performing Store Managers and store teams; build bench strength and a pipeline of future leaders.
- Set, monitor, and hold stores accountable to key KPIs — sales, labor, shrink, conversion, and customer experience.
- Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure operational, visual merchandising, inventory, safety, and compliance standards are consistently met.
- Partner with HQ teams (Operations, HR, Merchandising, Marketing) to roll out initiatives, promotions, and process improvements across your district.
- Manage district labor and expense budgets; optimize scheduling and payroll to maximize results.
- Champion a customer-first culture and a consistent brand experience across all locations.
- Handle escalations, loss prevention, and store-level issue resolution promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of retail management experience. Multi-store or district experience is a plus — strong single-store or multi-unit managers ready to step up are encouraged to apply.
- Cosmetic / beauty retail or specialty retail experience preferred.
- Experience opening, supporting, or training new store teams is a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively nationwide, across multiple states and to store locations — heavy travel is required.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop store teams.
- Comfortable working with retail KPIs, scheduling, and labor management.
- Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; able to juggle multiple priorities across locations.
- Based in or near Dallas, TX (or able to relocate), and able to travel nationwide as the business requires.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
