Job Overview
The Laboratory Assistant will support laboratory testing activities by preparing samples, maintaining laboratory equipment and records, and ensuring testing procedures are carried out accurately and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, label, and handle samples for laboratory testing.
- Assist laboratory staff with testing and analysis activities.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment as required.
- Record test results and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
- Ensure samples, equipment, and work areas are properly organized.
- Follow laboratory procedures, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Assist with cleaning and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Report any testing issues, equipment problems, or abnormalities to supervisors.
- Support timely completion of laboratory testing and related tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- GCE O/L or A/L qualification.
- School leavers would be highly encouraged to apply.
- Certificate/Diploma inLaboratory Technology, Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field will be an advantage.
- Previous laboratory experience will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow procedures and safety guidelines.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and work in a laboratory environment.
