CSEngineering is looking to add a Spectrum Management Engineer to our growing team! This position will support spectrum management strategy and operations for U.S. space and national security missions. The role combines strategic spectrum policy and relocation initiatives with hands-on electromagnetic spectrum planning, coordination, and management to ensure assured access to the spectrum and mission readiness. A Secret clearance is required, and TS/SCI is preferred.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Spectrum Management Strategy and Operations for space-based systems, joint military operations, and critical national security missions.
  • Provide spectrum management planning, coordination, and operational support to ensure assured access to the electromagnetic spectrum and minimize harmful interference.
  • Support national-level spectrum policy initiatives, including coordination associated with the National Spectrum Relocation and Auction process.
  • Coordinate with federal agencies, commercial stakeholders, and other organizations to facilitate the transition of incumbent federal systems to new frequency bands.
  • Support compliance and regulatory requirements for spectrum-dependent systems and operations in accordance with National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and Department of War (DoW) regulations and policies.
  • Manage the spectrum supportability lifecycle for new and existing systems.
  • Perform systems engineering and integration activities in support of space systems.
  • Synchronize spectrum planning, coordination, risk assessment, and data management activities supporting classified missions and operations.
  • Gather and analyze spectrum-related data to identify issues, assess risks, and develop effective solutions.
  • Provide technical recommendations and problem-solving support to government and customer stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with government, military, federal agency, and commercial stakeholders on spectrum management requirements and initiatives.
  • Support the use of secure networks and systems for spectrum management activities associated with classified missions.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Secret

  • Minimum four (4) years of relevant spectrum management experience.
  • Experience supporting spectrum management strategy, planning, coordination, and operations.
  • Experience with spectrum compliance and regulatory requirements, including NTIA, ITU, and DoW regulations and policies.
  • Experience managing the spectrum supportability lifecycle for new and existing systems.
  • Experience performing systems engineering and integration activities on space systems.
  • Experience with planning, coordination, risk assessment, and data management supporting classified missions and operations.
  • Excellent data gathering, analytical, communication, and client problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with others on a personable and professional basis to accomplish all tasks while maintaining a positive and professional workplace.
  • Must be a United States Citizen.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another STEM discipline.
  • Four (4) or more years of spectrum management experience within Space Systems Command (SSC).
  • Military experience in spectrum management.
  • Experience utilizing the Global Electromagnetic Spectrum Information System (GEMSIS).
  • Experience processing spectrum applications and certifications through the End-to-End Supportability System (E2ESS).
  • Experience supporting classified missions and operations on secure networks.
  • TS/SCI clearance.

Location: Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB), CA
