[PUB-InTeC] Senior Manager (Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize) (11-months)

[What the role is]

You will be part of PUB’s Singapore International Water Week team, and be responsible for the planning and execution of the 2028 Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize.

The Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize honours outstanding contributions by individuals or organisations towards solving the world’s water challenges by developing or applying innovative technologies, policies or programmes which benefit humanity. Since its inception in 2008, the Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize has been awarded 11 times. The 2028 Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize will be presented at an award ceremony during the Singapore International Water Week 2028.

[What you will be working on]

Your main roles and responsibilities include:

1. Liaison with the Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize Nominating Committee and Prize Council

• Review and renew the composition of the Prize Nominating Committee and Prize Council
• Provide regular updates to the Nominating Committee and Prize Council on the progress of the 2028 Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize nomination process
• Arrange for the Prize Nominating Committee meeting to be held in Singapore in Nov/Dec 2027
• Arrange for the Prize Nominating Committee and Prize Council members to attend the Prize Award Ceremony during Singapore International Water Week 2028

2. Manage the Nomination Process for the 2028 Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize

• Set up the process and timelines for the nomination process.
• Update the nomination webpage and portal
• Work with SIWW Marcomm team to generate international interest in the Prize, and encourage nominations to be submitted.
• Coordinate with nominators to ensure documentations are complete and in order
• Collate nominations received for internal review
• Organise the Prize Nominating Committee meeting in Singapore in Nov/Dec 2027
• Prepare the nomination reports for endorsements by the Nominating Committee and Prize Council

3. Organise the 2028 Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize Media Conference

• Organise the media conference to unveil the 2028 Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize winner, supported by the SIWW PR agency and Marcomm team.
• Prepare the media release, award citation and other relevant documents for the media conference
• Liaise with the 2028 Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize winner for his/her travel to Singapore for the media conference.
• Plan and oversee the visit programme in Singapore for the winner.
• Work with the SIWW Marcomm team to identify media opportunities for the winner

4. Organise the 2028 Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize Award Ceremony

• Organise the award ceremony for the 2028 Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize, to be held during the opening of Singapore International Water Week 2028
• Supervise the production the Prize medallion and certificate
• Supervise the production of the 2028 Laureate video, showcasing the achievement of the winner
• Work with the SIWW Marcomm team to identify media opportunities for the winner
• Work with the SIWW Programmes team for the Laureate to deliver the Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize lecture

5. Manage relationship with Prize Presenting Partner

• Maintain strong relationships with Temasek Foundation, the presenting partner of the Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize.
• Ensure presenting partner entitlements are fulfilled and oversee sponsorship payment tracking.

[What we are looking for]

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant working experience in partnership management, stakeholder engagement, programme management or event management.
• Strong project management, communication and relationship management skills.
• Familiarity with the water industry will be an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and a good team player.
• Motivated and meticulous individual, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
