Job Overview

Are you ready to make your next career move to join our team as our Legal Counsel for KONE Americas in KONE Mexico?

• Are you a legal generalist with experience in a wide variety of subject matter, such as labor, procurement, construction, sales, service, general liability, compliance, distributorships, manufacturing, regulatory, and trade compliance?

• Do you enjoy reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents?

• Does providing strategic legal advice motivate you?

• Do you thrive in areas where you contribute to continuous improvement of legal tools, processes, and ways of working?

• Are you skillful with developing, maintaining, and updating contract templates and standard legal documentation, as well as legal processes?

• Do you demonstrate a passion for proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks?

• Are you committed to promoting independent professional judgement in addressing complex legal matters, developing and implementing legal policies, recommending appropriate courses of action to protect the company’s interest, and managing litigation?

Job Duties

As our Legal Counsel, you will provide expert legal advice and services to support KONE’s business activities while minimizing legal, regulatory, and commercial risk. The role exercises independent professional judgment in addressing a wide range of complex legal matters; drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts; developing and implementing legal policies; and recommending appropriate courses of action to protect the company’s interests.

You will bring 5+years of professional, multi-national experience as in-house corporate attorney, attorney with a reputable law firm, or a combination of both to KONE. You will use the knowledge gained through your degree in law from an accredited university or college; completion of a thesis or possession of a certification or license authorizing the practice of law. You are proficient in Spanish and English languages.
