What you’ll be doing...
In this high-impact position, the Analyst-Billing will oversee and manage a $3B+ annual revenue stream for all and Verizon-branded products across all sales channels. This role is highly analytical and operational, combining complex invoicing, auditing, trend analytics, and data mining.
You will work closely with departmental leadership to drive systems enhancements, process improvements, and increased automation. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver capable of administering pricing updates, developing new invoicing methodologies, and ensuring the absolute accuracy of our financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Management: Execute end-to-end invoicing functions for over $3B+ in annual revenue across all branded product categories and sales channels.
Data Analytics & Auditing: Conduct extensive trend analytics, data mining, and invoicing audits using complex query tables to ensure all financial transactions are timely and accurately recorded on the company’s financial statements.
Process Improvement: Partner with the departmental manager to implement systems and procedural enhancements, focusing on complex billing methodologies and increased automation.
System Testing & Deployment: Prepare internal requests for system modifications; coordinate and perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and certification prior to deploying system modifications into production.
Strategic Analysis: Analyze new invoicing procedures and billing reports to support new product launches and corporate acquisitions.
Pricing & Corrections: Administer routine pricing updates, review billing reports, and execute necessary financial corrections to maintain data integrity.
Cross-Functional Support: Support additional departmental operations including Airtime, POSA (Point of Sale Activation), and Supply Chain Management through detailed report preparation and analysis.
What we’re looking for…
You’ll need to have:
One or more years of relevant experience required demonstrated through work and/or military experience.
Previous roles as a Billing Administrator, Data Analyst, or A/R Analyst at a mid-sized to large enterprise are highly applicable.
Experience in financial analytics, business analytics, data analytics, or a related technical field.
Experience in invoicing, accounting, and corporate finance.
Advanced MS Excel skills: including pivot tables, charting, and extensive data preparation/manipulation.
Mathematical Proficiency: Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and volume.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor’s Degree
Wireless industry experience, particularly with serialized products.
SQL and Oracle Financials wSAP experience is strongly preferred.
Ability to solve practical problems and manage a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, as well as presenting information effectively to managers, clients, and cross-functional teams.
High capacity to establish methodologies and routines to effectively respond to multitasking demands and internal/external inquiries.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and diverse instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
