Regional Delivery Driver

Position Summary 

JB Cutting is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Regional Delivery Driver to transport cabinet doors, drawer fronts, moldings, and related products throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and surrounding areas. 

This position is designed for a professional driver who takes pride in safe operation, excellent customer service, and represents the company at customer locations. Most deliveries are completed within a single day, allowing the driver to return home nightly. 

The ideal candidate is organized, safety-minded, physically capable of handling deliveries, and committed to providing first-class customer experience. 

Key Responsibilities 

Transportation & Delivery 

• Safely operate a company straight truck in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. 
• Deliver finished products to customer locations throughout the Midwest. 
• Follow assigned delivery schedules and route plans. 
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections. 
• Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation. 
• Communicate delivery status and issues to dispatch and management. 

Loading & Unloading 

• Assist in loading and securing products to prevent damage during transport. 
• Verify shipment accuracy prior to departure. 
• Safely unload products at customer sites. 
• Obtain proof of delivery and customer signatures. 
• Report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately. 

Customer Service 

• Serve as a professional representative of JB Cutting. 
• Build positive relationships with customers and receiving personnel. 
• Resolve minor delivery issues professionally and promptly. 
• Maintain a clean, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor. 

Vehicle Care & Safety 

• Keep assigned vehicle clean and presentable. 
• Report maintenance needs promptly. 
• Follow all company safety procedures. 
• Maintain a clean driving record and safe driving habits. 
• Participate in safety and compliance training. 

Requirements

Required 

• Valid CDL Class B license with a clean driving record. 
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements. 
• Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience. 
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds. 
• Strong communication and customer service skills. 
• Basic smartphone and tablet proficiency. 
• Ability to read route schedules, shipping documents, and delivery paperwork. 

Preferred 

• Experience operating box trucks with liftgates. 
• Regional delivery experience. 
• Manufacturing or building-products delivery experience. 
• Forklift experience. 

Physical Requirements 

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials. 
• Climb in and out of truck throughout the day. 
• Stand, walk, bend, and reach repeatedly during loading and unloading. 
• Work in varied weather conditions. 

Schedule 

• Full-time 
• Monday through Friday 
• Home most nights 
• Occasional early morning departures 
• Limited overnight travel as required 

Compensation 

$30.00 - $32.00 per hour
