Advanced Professional Security (APS) is looking for a few dedicated team member(s) to fill our clients’ high demands and even higher expectations. Unarmed Security Guard

Our ideal candidate is observant, composed under pressure, professional in appearance and behavior, has unwavering integrity, and self-discipline while possessing strong written and verbal communication skills. Our clients and their guests expect nothing less than the best from APS and we are looking to deliver them to ensure the safety of residents, their guests, and visitors.

Essential Functions and Responsibility

• Conduct surveillance of the assigned site or post and ensure post orders are followed as written and trained.
• Follow established protocols, respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies.
• Collaborate effectively with law enforcement and other security personnel to coordinate efforts and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Make immediate emergency notifications as necessary when confronted with creditable information.
• Maintain a command presence while appearing on post in accordance with uniform and PPE standards (as needed for individual assignment).
• Remain knowledgeable of security orders, directives, and procedures at all times.
• Provide directions or guidance as necessary.
• Other related duties, as assigned.

Additional Client Specific Requirements

• Verify resident identification before allowing entry.
• Ensure each household complies with the maximum of four (4) guests per lot.
• Monitor access to the pool and amenity area.
• Provide a highly visible security presence to deter criminal activity, vandalism, property damage, trespassing, and unauthorized access.
• Enforce community pool rules in a professional and respectful manner.
• Document incidents and complete daily activity reports.
• Contact supervisors or law enforcement when necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and guests while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• This role is based outdoors and subject to extreme temperatures.
• Must be able to perform all functions of the job with, or without, reasonable accommodations.
• Previous security, customer service, HOA, or pool security experience (Preferred)
• Experience interacting with residents and enforcing community rules in a courteous and professional manner (Preferred)
• Must be able to carry out instructions furnished in English written or oral form as well as speak and comprehend English without translation.
• Must be neat, well-groomed and present a professional appearance.
• Able to meet any special qualifications set forth in post orders or other relevant protocols and directives.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Arizona Security Guard License - AZDPS Security Guard Form Triage
• Ability to stand, sit, and walk up to 10-hours, lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Reliably commute to client sites located within 30-minutes of your home address

Schedule and Work Environment
We are looking for both Full-Time and/or Part-Time positions for our current client needs. This site guard will work from Wednesday – Sunday from 2:00P to 9:00P.
 

Officers must be comfortable working in AZ heat throughout their shift. Access to air conditioning, a shaded shelter, and restroom facilities will be available for breaks, but the majority of the shift will be spent outside monitoring the pool area.

Compensation
This role pays $20.00/ hourly
This role will remain open until properly filled with our ideal candidates.
