This role will operate under Advanced Die Casting, LLC as a whole-owned subsidiary of Humanscale.
Overview
The Die Casting Supervisor oversees daily production plan execution, scrap control, and manufacturing standards to ensure performance meets production release targets. This role leads the work team, enforces quality and safety procedures, manages training and development, and drives continuous improvement and 5S workplace organization. Additionally, the supervisor analyzes performance data, resolves interpersonal conflicts, audits standard work, and reports equipment and production results to management. This position will oversee the work in the area.
Responsibilities
- Monitor execution of the production plan to ensure daily goals are met.
- Control and reduce plant scrap through effective monitoring and corrective action.
- Ensure daily production meets established standards and processes are properly implemented and maintained.
- Lead and supervise production team members to ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and quality requirements.
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to develop team members’ technical and safety skills.
- Address team conflicts and performance concerns in accordance with internal work regulations (RIT).
- Promote a productive work environment that supports team engagement and departmental goals.
- Make data-driven production decisions aligned with operational and company objectives.
- Communicate work instructions, procedures, and responsibilities clearly to production staff.
- Communicate daily updates on quality, safety, productivity, equipment, and continuous improvement activities.
- Prepare and present concise reports on equipment and production performance for management and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure employees are trained, qualified, and competent to perform assigned responsibilities.
- Implement and sustain 5S standards to maintain an organized and efficient work area.
- Participate in and support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Audit area leaders’ standard work to ensure consistent application of processes and procedures.
- Monitor production processes to identify and address issues before they impact output.
- Conduct root cause analysis using problem-solving tools such as Ishikawa diagrams and 5 Whys.
- Participate in Kaizen events to support process improvement.
- Ensure operations comply with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Oversee waste management and disposal procedures for the die casting process.
- Promote a safety-focused culture by encouraging incident reporting and recognizing safe work practices.
Qualifications
- Industrial Engineering or related degree and/or experience.
- Must have at least 3 years minimum experience in die casting processes or as a manufacturing engineer, knowledge of inspection procedures and quality control.

- Basic knowledge of maintenance.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.

COMPUTER SKILLS
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) to manage daily correspondence, draft documents, and track basic data.
