Function:
Credit Risk Review serves to independently monitor credit quality and assess the effectiveness of credit risk management to provide the directorate and executive management with objective oversight of all lending credit related activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides an independent commercial / consumer analysis of credit quality, credit administration management, processes and controls of lending and credit risk management functions, corporate and business line management.
Perform reviews of the assigned Credits/borrowers to ensure compliance with established policies and underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Evaluates quality of commercial/consumer Credits and the assigned risk ratings indicating borrower’s financial strength and probability of loan repayment.
Evaluates the quality Credits/borrowers and verifies that the appropriate risk rating was assigned indicating borrower’s financial strength and probability of loan repayment.
Perform reviews of the bank’s commercial loans to ensure compliance with established policies and standards. May also review retail loans and other commercial and non-commercial credit exposures.
Performs secondary mortgage market quality control and portfolio mortgage loan reviews to evaluate compliance with established investor and underwriting guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Performs reviews of assigned small business loans approved through the Business Banking Lending Division (BBLD) to evaluate the assigned risk rating and the quality of the BBLD loan portfolio.
Provide recommendations to the Commercial/Consumer Credit Risk Review Manager, to be communicated to credit risk management and/or consumer lending management that strengthens the organization and enhances overall supervision of Commercial/consumer lending methods and provides tools to continually measure effectiveness.
May assist in performing Commercial or Retail credit reviews, and bank projects requiring Credit expertise.
Examine all areas where credit risk is managed or monitored.
Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Possesses the ability to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the organization.
Assume additional responsibilities as required.
Education:
Requires a four-year college degree or equivalent. Preferred major or area of specialization in Accounting and formal credit training. Requires a Loan Review Certification or willing to obtain a Loan Review Certification within 18 months of hire date.
Experience:
Requires two to five years of general experience. Preferred minimum of five years specialized training, specifically five years of commercial loan review experience or an equivalent combination of credit analysis and commercial loan review experience.
Physical Demands:
Operates a keypad device: 50% of the day and operates office equipment 5% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumb, hands, wrists, and elbows and upper torso. Standing is required one hour per day in a straight position. Sitting is required six hours per day in a straight position. Walking is required for one hour per day at moderate speed. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing up to 40% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18”-20” for computer work. Offered rates and salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on experience, education, and evidenced position specific skill requirements.
For roles that are incentive eligible, payment is based upon the plan document and company, business, and/or individual performance.

Salary Range:
$48,000.00 - $115,500.00
