Description
THE ROLE:
The Toledo Complex includes the Huntington Center and the Glass City Center, and this position provides support across both locations. The Event Coordinator is responsible for managing assigned events to ensure smooth and successful events at the facility.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as liaison and primary point of contact with client to plan and implement all aspects of event through conclusion.
- Ascertain clients’ requirements for set-up, security, ticketing, etc.
- Communicate event requirements to appropriate departments.
- Coordinate procurement of proper insurance coverage for events.
- Oversee operations, maintenance, contractors, etc. to assure event requirements are addressed and met.
- Prepare cost estimates and monitor final billings.
- Provide client with updates and changes in cost estimates.
- Initiate required paperwork.
- Provide guidance and supervision to service staff during events.
- Act as “point person” for outside promoters.
- Manage Guest Services, Maintenance, and Security employees during events.
- Other duties as required or assigned.

- Bachelor degree or a combination of training and 2-3 years of related experience.
- Good communication and organization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Accuracy in performing assigned duties is essential.
- Proficiency with Word and Excel; AutoCAD a plus.
- Working irregular hours (including nights, weekends and holidays) is required as dictated by event schedule.
