Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a resilient, dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our clinical team in a fast-paced skilled nursing and long-term care environment. Under the supervision of the Unit Manager and Nursing Leadership, you will assume responsibility for delivering direct hands-on nursing care, executing individualized plans of care, maintaining a safe resident environment, and assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Patient Care: Provide compassionate bedside care, including hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility assistance for long-term care and rehabilitation residents.
- Plan of Care Execution: Implement assigned nursing interventions according to resident care plans, observing patient responses and ensuring safety protocols are maintained.
- Vital Signs & Monitoring: Measure and record vital signs, daily weights, intake/output, and monitor for changes in physical or behavioral conditions.
- Communication & Documentation: Maintain accurate daily flow sheets and documentation; promptly report resident updates or concerns to the supervising nurse (RN/LPN).
- Environmental Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and secure care environment, utilizing proper infection control and safety standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care (LTC), or Medical-Surgical setting [Required].
- Licensure: Active State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification [Required].
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) [Required].
- Core Competencies: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting, strong physical stamina, compassionate communication, and dependable teamwork.
