SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Crew Leader is responsible for leading a lawn maintenance or landscaping crew while completing high-quality work on commercial and residential properties. This position requires prior lawn maintenance or landscaping experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to safely drive a truck while pulling a trailer.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead crew members and delegate daily tasks
• Oversee assigned projects and properties from start to finish
• Perform lawn maintenance or landscape installation work based on the assigned division
• Safely drive a truck while pulling and maneuvering a trailer
• Safely operate and maintain trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment
• Communicate professionally with customers and homeowners
• Maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards
• Serve as a reliable point of contact throughout the workday
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous professional lawn maintenance or landscaping experience required
• Previous leadership or crew-leading experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
• Ability and experience safely driving a truck while pulling a trailer required
• State of Michigan Chauffeur’s License required or ability to obtain
• DOT medical card preferred or ability to obtain, if required
• Ability to safely operate industry-related tools and power equipment
• Strong leadership, communication, and delegation skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying and extreme weather conditions
• Ability to lift heavy objects and maintain a steady pace throughout the day
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
