  • Manage SPARC infrastructure, including T/M-series servers, Oracle VM Server for SPARC (LDoms), ILOM, and firmware.
  • Configure and support Solaris Zones, Kernel Zones, ZFS storage, SMF services, and IPS packaging.
  • Operate high-availability clusters using Oracle Solaris Cluster or Veritas InfoScale and support Oracle Database workloads.
  • Assess end-of-support exposure and lead upgrades to Solaris 11.4 or migrations to Oracle Linux / RHEL.
  • Harden systems against the NIA Standard and client security baselines, and remediate audit and vulnerability findings.
  • Automate routine operations using Shell, Python, and Ansible, while maintaining runbooks and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Provide L3 incident and problem management, including on-call support for critical systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Solaris administration experience in production enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with SPARC hardware and virtualization (LDoms).

  • Experience with clustering and disaster recovery for business-critical workloads.
  • Proven experience delivering at least one Solaris upgrade or Solaris-to-Linux migration project.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in enterprise production environments supporting critical systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Certified Associate / Professional – Oracle Solaris certification.
