Quality Engineer — Aerospace & Manufacturing

A well-established aerospace and manufacturing company with over 30 years in business is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their growing team in City of Industry, CA. What you'll do

• Develop, maintain, and advance quality systems, procedures, and practices
• Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and reports with working knowledge of GD&T
• Communicate with customers to resolve quality system concerns and inquiries
• Audit production lots and support customer and external audits
• Drive continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing processes
• Support identification of process yield issues using statistical and data analysis techniques
• Generate quality shipment documentation including certificates of conformance
• Drive closure of corrective and preventative actions and customer returns
• Support Gage R&R studies, SPC, process capability, and FMEA/PPAP documentation

What we're looking for

• BS in Engineering or 3-5 years of applicable quality systems experience
• Knowledge of ISO-9000 standards, Six Sigma principles, and Lean Manufacturing
• Experience with GD&T, FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP documentation
• Aerospace or manufacturing industry background strongly preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Data-driven problem solver with excellent organizational skills
• Must be a US person as defined by ITAR (US Citizen, Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee)
