Your Role as General Manager - Inclusive Communities

As the General Manager - Inclusive Communities, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of Social Services programs. You will drive the development, implementation and continuous improvement of services, ensuring operational excellence, sustainable growth and the achievement of strategic objectives across existing and emerging communities. This role is pivotal in enhancing service impact, fostering innovation and delivering positive outcomes for the people and communities we support.

• Lead the strategic, operational and financial performance of Inclusive Communities services, ensuring sustainable growth, service excellence and achievement of organisational objectives.
• Drive business development through market analysis, strategic partnerships, funding opportunities, new service delivery models and expansion across existing and emerging regions.
• Lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering innovation, collaboration and accountability to deliver quality, customer-focused services.
• Ensure strong governance, risk management, compliance and effective use of systems and technology to support operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across WMQ to deliver strategic projects, organisational priorities and positive community outcomes.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven success in a managerial role including an ability to manage change processes that support strategic direction, ensure the high performance and accountability of individuals and teams.
• Demonstrated track record in development of business cases, project management and commissioning of new and or expanded services.
• Strong decision-making ability
• Demonstrated competence in service planning, implementation and review in a dynamic, complex environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills including the capacity for presentation, negotiation, mediation, advocacy and conflict resolution.
• Proven ability to develop and achieve Strategic, tactical, financial plans and KPI’s.
• Ability to motivate and lead employees, and hold them accountable
• Strong working knowledge of operational procedures

A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business management or related field
• Experience in conducting performance evaluations
• Working knowledge of human-resources processes

Essential Requirements

• Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
• Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
