Premium Auditor - Workforce Team

Overview

The Premium Auditor (Workforce Team) leverages expertise in Workers’ Compensation and General Liability audit processes to support workforce planning, work allocation, vendor management, performance monitoring, and operational excellence. Working closely with the Workforce Manager and Premium Audit leadership team, this role is responsible for assigning and balancing audit workloads across internal staff and external vendors, monitoring capacity and service level performance, and ensuring efficient utilization of resources.

 

The role oversees vendor relationships, evaluates production, quality, timeliness, and overall operational performance, and analyzes workforce and audit-related data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Through data-driven insights and recommendations, the Premium Auditor (Workforce) helps optimize resource allocation, enhance audit outcomes, improve customer experience, support scalable operations, and contribute to profitable growth, while upholding AmTrust’s mission, values, and professional standards

 

Those located near an AmTrust office may be required to abide by a hybrid schedule.

 

The expected salary range for this role is $46,600 - 70,000.

Responsibilities

· Partner with the Workforce Manager to assign inventory to internal auditors and external vendors based on inventory levels, premium exposure, due dates, audit complexity, jurisdictional requirements, auditor capabilities, capacity, service expectations, and departmental priorities.

· Apply knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and General Liability audit procedures, classifications, supporting documentation, policy terms, manual rules, and audit workflows to support work-assignment decisions and resolve operational issues.

· Monitor and manage audit inventory, workforce capacity, and service level performance to ensure timely and efficient completion of audit activities.

· Oversee vendor relationships by monitoring capacity, productivity, quality, timeliness, and service expectations while partnering with leadership, business partners, and vendors to resolve issues and improve customer experience.

· Perform ad hoc analyses, trend monitoring, and root-cause reviews; translate findings into actionable recommendations that improve workload distribution, vendor performance, audit quality, operational efficiency, and process effectiveness.

· Develop, maintain, and enhance workforce procedures, assignment methodologies, vendor performance standards, metric definitions, operational controls, and process documentation to support consistent and scalable operations.

· Review historical performance data and collaborate with leadership to develop short- and long-term workforce strategies, staffing models, capacity plans, and budget forecasts.

· Reconcile vendor invoices against approved hours, production reporting, and budgets to support accurate financial management, reporting, and vendor spend oversight.

· Prepare and communicate workforce, inventory, capacity, productivity, quality, and vendor performance reporting to leadership and key stakeholders.

· Maintain knowledge of premium audit requirements, workforce management practices, vendor management principles, analytical methods, industry trends, and supporting technologies.

· Support special projects, process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, testing activities, and other premium audit-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Insurance, Risk Management, Analytics, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

· Minimum 3 years of premium audit experience

· Experience in workforce management, inventory management, operational planning, workload distribution, or vendor management within a premium audit or insurance operations environment

· Experience developing reports, performance metrics, dashboards, and management presentations.

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, pivot tables, formulas, and data validation techniques.

· Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across multiple levels of the organization and with external business partners.

· Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

 

Preferred:

· Prior experience in workforce planning, capacity management, resource allocation, vendor oversight, or operational analytics.

· Experience supporting or leading process improvement initiatives and operational transformation efforts

· Understanding of budget management, forecasting, staffing models, and capacity planning methodologies

· Experience with business intelligence, reporting, and data visualization tools such as Power BI, SQL, or similar platforms.
